Tanzania International Pig Conference and Expo 2025 was held on 11th-12th July, 2025 and was attended by swine producers, veterinarians, industry leaders, swine companies, and international guests from several African countries.

The brand manager of 333 Africa, Olasupo S. Ayobami represented 333 as a guest speaker at the Tanzania International Pig Conference and Expo 2025 held on 11th-12th July, 2025 at the Conference Hall, Ubungo Plaza, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The conference was attended by swine producers, veterinarians, industry leaders, swine companies, and international guests from several African countries. The event also featured exhibitions from both international and Tanzanian companies and farms at the exhibition hall of the conference center.

‎‎The conference was the first international pig conference organized by the Tanzania Association of Pig Farmers (TAPIFA) under the leadership of Mrs Doreen Elipokea Maro.

‎‎Day 1 of the conference started with opening remarks and welcome address delivered by Dr Yeremia D. Sanka (Representative of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries and Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee) , Madam Agnes K. Meena (Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries), Prof. Akin. Adesehinwa (National President, Pig farmers Association of Nigeria), and Mr Olasupo S. Ayobami (Brand M anager, 333 Africa).

‎‎The keynote address was delivered by the special guest of honour, Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda (former Prime Minister of Tanzania).

‎‎This was followed by group photographs and coordinated by the moderator.

‎The first presentation was a glance on the growth of the pig industry in Tanzania delivered by Prof. Faustine Lekule (University of Sokoine University Professor), followed by the second presentation on innovative approach for mycotoxin management in swine nutrition delivered by Dr Odede.

‎The third presentation was the conference theme exposition by Mr Olasupo Ayobami titled "BEYOND CULTURES AND TRADITIONS: Building an innovation-driven pig industry in Africa". The presentation was followed by the fourth presentation delivered by Samantha van der Westhuizen (Data scientists/Export coordinator, PIC Africa). This was followed by a panel discussion session by Tanzania delegates on "POLICY SHIFTS FOR PROGRESS: creating an enabling environment for innovation sne growth in Africa's pig industry". This was followed by the lunch and networking break.

‎‎The afternoon session started with a technival presentation titled "BEYOND THE CRATES: Innovations in loose housing farrowing snd piglet management strategies for Africa's swine industry" delivered by Justice Motubatse (Technical Advisor, PIC Africa). The second afternoon presentation was delivered by Mr Tomi Olatunde on the topic "BREEDING FOR THE MARKETS: Connecting swine genetics with pork market trends sne consumer preferences in Africa". Prof. Akin Adesehinwa delivered the concluding day 1 presentation on "Overcoming the challenges of Africa's pig industry". The day 1 was brought to a close by Dr Azory Mbuma (National Gen. Sec. of Tanzania Association of Pig Farmers.

‎‎Day 2 of the conference started with a recap followed by the first presentation on "AFRICA SWINE FEVER: Epidemiology snd management of transboundary spread" delivered by Dr Charles Lyimo (Lecturer at Sokoine University). The second presentation was delivered by Mr Jo Depandelaere (General Manager, Agrifirm East Africa) with the title "Basic principles for swine nutrition". The third presentation was delivered by Justice Motubatse on "BUILDING SUSTAINABLE SYSTEMS: General management standards for intensive pig farms in Africa". The fourth presentation was delivered by Mr Olasupo Ayobami with the title "SWINE PRODUCTION SYSTEMS IN AFRICA: Current realities, and pathways to modernization". The second panel discussion of the conference titled "Building effective mitigation and control systems for African swine fever" was moderated by Dr Azory Mbuma and the panelists were Dr Charles Lyimo, Dr Uledi Kimbavala, Dr Kimory Riyoba, and Prof. Lekule. This was followed by a presentation on "Investment climate and opportunities in the pig industry in Tanzania" delivered by representative of Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA). Representative of NMB bank in Tanzania also gave a presentation on swine industry insurance opportunities. Mr Donal Kwaku (Deputy National Gen. Secretary of TAPIFA) concluded the sessions with a TAPIFA overview session.

‎The closing ceremony of the congress was anchored by Dr Sanka. Award of recognition was given to companies that sponsored the conference, Prof. Akin Adesehinwa and Olasupo Ayobami in recognition of their contributions to the conference. The conference ended with closing remarks by Dr Sanka and the Tanzanian National President.
